  • Shah Faisal Mosque

Shah Faisal mosque also known as Faisal Masjid, is the biggest mosque in Pakistan and South Asia. It is named after the late King Faisal bin Abdul-Aziz. It was completed in 1986. Its area is 5000 and it can accommodate 300,000 people. It was the biggest mosque of the world from 1986 to 1993 but now it is on sixth position. It is located on north end of the city near Marghalla Hills. Its design was created by a Turkish architect and shaped like “desert Bedouin’s tent”.
